Burn Penn State to the ground. Salt the earth. Dig up Joe and burn HIM.
This is the weekend where you can say anything about Penn State and it won't bother me.
But do me two favors. Watch the documentary (or at least the promo) linked, and donate to Thon - OR YOUR local pediatric cancer charity.
Since 1977, THON has donated over $89 Million to it's sole beneficiary - the Four Diamonds Fund/Hershey Medical Center. Over 96% of the take actually goes For The Kids.
It is the largest student run philanthropy in the world.

Hoping for an $11 Million reveal on Sunday afternoon. 15,000 student volunteers work year round for this. Watch live at thon.org (beginning today at 4PM) and sporadic live coverage on the Big Ten Network this weekend.
THIS is the weekend Penn Staters look forward to the most. Not OSU or Michigan football.

I only wish they would quit collecting money in plastic buckets at busy traffic intersections. It’s only a matter of time before one of these kids gets hit and killed.
To: FlJoePa
In 1978 I sold my first systems to PSU and Dr. Donald Laird got me involved in this {then young} charity.
I've donated every year since and because both of my children and one grandson were{are} Penn Staters, they have kept the heat on me for donations.
It is a great series of events and the PSU students will be at thousands of intersections all across PA collecting hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Please give what you can.

I apologize - the 46 hour event doesn't start until
6PM EST. So beginning at 6PM there is live streaming from thon.org for the duration of the event.
The Big Ten Network (according to my guide) shows live broadcasts tonight @ 9PM and tomorrow morning @ 11:30AM.

Dancers are in the house. The dancers are justifiably treated like rock stars this weekend.
Donate to conquer pediatric cancer today. Either at thon.org or the local charity of your choice.
Another fantastic video:

I have nothing but good things to say about Penn State Milton S. Hershey Hospital. My niece received top notch care in their high risk maternity ward as did my preemie triplet great nieces in their NICU also supported and funded by Penn State, PSU students and alumnae.
Without such excellent care, my niece and her three now four year old and beautiful daughters might not be with us today.
Thanks for the reminder. I just sent my donation to the Thon for Pediatric Cancer.

Thanks MD. I made another donation I can’t really afford this morning. I wish I was there.
If anyone ever gets the chance to see this live (if you can get in), don’t miss it. The energy in that building could light up a city. Thanks again for donating.

Layn Burger, 7, of Elizabethtown, Pa., hugs the Nittany Lion after walking down the runway of the THON 2013 fashion show on Saturday at the Bryce Jordan Center.
This is Layn's seventh THON, and he has been off treatment for five years.

My Daughter has been helping with this since she entered PSU. A very worthy cause.

Much thanks to your daughter and her dedication and hard work FTK. Does anyone know if we can get this thread on the PA Ping List?
THON child Ethan, 6, samples some edible bubbles from Singing Lions dancer Catherine DeLuce (senior-theatre) while sitting on the shoulders of Kevin Bonacci (senior-rehabilitation and human services) during THON 2013.

Jay spoke this morning and thinks they are going to exceed $12 million. That would be incredible. It would also push the total (since 1977) well over $100 million.
please everyone - donate $20 bucks at thon.org or to YOUR local pediatric cancer charity.

John Urschel w/ a THON kid:
Urschel has never gotten a B. He's a Mathematics major who graduated in 3 years. He revealed he has had a paper published online and in print in the journal, Celestial Mechanics and Dynamical Astronomy. The title of Urschel's paper? "Instabilities of the Sun-Jupiter-Asteroid Three Body Problem".
You can read it here.
Nice job John! FTK
