Years ago, Westminster was limited to champions only. This year they opened it up to “class dogs”, or dogs which have not won a championship.
The Old English Sheepdog, a youngster not yet a champion, came up through the ranks to win the Herding Group this evening. This is a major win for a lovely, but very young dog.
I heard that and am not sure I like it.
I’m quite sure you are incorrect. Even when I knew more about the show world in the ‘80s I remember it being POINTED dogs. They did not have to be Ch. Otherwise, there would not be the full set of classes in the breed level, only a single class of all Ch.
