The commercials are better than the ones on the Super Bowl.

It’s great to see a rare dog like the American Foxhound win a group.

Next time post the channel. Thanks.

Just to add sometimes the stuff the announcer says is mistaken ( or fantasy). The Belgian Tervuren for instance doesn’t have a different outline than the other Belgians. It just has a different coat color & length.

The GSD should have won the herding class. Two reasons I think she didn’t even though she has won every other title under the sun. The reasons are the judge handled GSDs and the handler was the worst I have ever seen. Could not control the dog. She has the most beautiful long stride gate I have ever seen for a GSD.
I am so disappointed. Terrible to do to a wonderful show dog.

Years ago, Westminster was limited to champions only. This year they opened it up to “class dogs”, or dogs which have not won a championship.
The Old English Sheepdog, a youngster not yet a champion, came up through the ranks to win the Herding Group this evening. This is a major win for a lovely, but very young dog.

Why the hell do the judges invariably select smaller breeds for best in show?

Sometime in the past few days one of the WWII NYT daily threads by FReeper Homer J Simpson showed an ad in the paper for the 1943 Westminster Kennel Show at Madison Square Garden. A $10 ticket covered both days.
