The "university" consists of hundreds of thousands of current and former students and staff. Depending upon whose version of events you believe, these criminal acts were performed and/or hushed up by no more than 10 people. Calling down blanket damnation over the entire university is akin to blaming all US citizens because you don't like the President. It's really quite bizarre, and in my experience most of the folks who hold to this line of "thought" have a pathological need to prove their superiority.

Present company excepted, I'm sure.

Since you are bringing politics into it, Penn Staters are like liberals who refuse to acknowledge any mistakes Obama is making, and declaring him the best president ever.

Liberals = Penn Staters =
when it comes to their sacred, untouchable institutions.
