NEWINGTON A PTO mom who said she rediscovered God, conquered a crack cocaine addiction and pursued her dream of working with children was arrested Monday after she allegedly brandished a handgun at Chuck E. Cheese's.
According to police, Tawana Bourne argued with another woman at the children's restaurant on the Berlin Turnpike. Both women had children with them.
"During this argument, Bourne allegedly brandished a .380 semiautomatic handgun and chambered a round," police stated in a press release. She had a valid permit for the gun, they said.
Staff members called police and Bourne was charged with three counts of risk of injury to a minor and one count each of second-degree threatening and first-degree reckless endangerment. She posted $50,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in Superior Court in New Britain on Feb. 19.
"I'm a very good person," Bourne said Tuesday. "Very, very involved in the community."

LOL. She sounds like a mess. How the Hell did she get a job working with children???
Obama might put her in charge of nuclear security or the Treasury Dept, you never know
Which ever one it is Chuck E. sure is in the police reports a lot.
If she was not attacked, and just pulled out her weapon in order to scare them into seeing her way then she should at bare minimum lose that permit, and the arrest is good.
But if she was attacked, or in fear of being attacked (were they surrounding her? were they about to jump her?) then what exactly was wrong with what she did?
If she’s found God and beaten a crack addiction, good for her. But she clearly has some work yet to do.
It’s been my experience that a lot of people who tell you they’re “a good person” are in denial about how messed up they really are.
I can see the picture now:
Woman says: “I’m A Very Good Person”
Pulls gun at Chuck E. Cheese
.
.
If you have to say it about yourself, most likely, you are not.
Ban Chuck E. Cheese.
WTF is it with Chuck E Cheese and ghetto rats?
You can’t go a week without a riot, robber, assault and now this.
I’ve thought of blowing away Chuck E Cheese many times. Thankfully my kids are too old for that now.
C-e-C has changed over the years
When my little girls were very young the customers were primarily affluent (it was expensive!) - now it is relatively low(er) cost and the EBT-carrying crowd have overrun the places, and their children behave like little animals.
The last time I went with my duaghters one little snot was walking around snatching the tickets out of machines my girls were playing. And when I complained to his mother (after I found her making out with a ‘gansta’ dude in the corner) I was told “well they his [tickets] now”.
In the good old days a mother would have spanked his ass in front of everyone there, nowadays they are proud of his theft.
Maybe Jason has a wife?
Just because a person can get a permit, doesn’t mean they should. This is a perfect example of what the gun-grabbers will ping on. I hate when these things happen.
A fight broke out at one around here that spilled out into the parking lot. It was two groups of the same family fighting over one groups failure to help with bailing out an armed robber from the other group. The instigator? The armed robber’s mother, when she threw one of the kid’s birthday gifts at her sister. After reading the story, I was impressed with how classy the family was. The article showed all the mugshots, 7 in total..
She will get off. Attending a Chuck E. Cheese is prima facie evidence of cruel and unusual punishment.... ;-)
O is concentrating his mind control machine on the Northeast for the moment. The MSM has been ordered to make every shooting incident nationwide on TV 24/7 with interviews of intelligent sounding anti-gun lobbyists and redneck gun advocates mandatory...
There’s a video out there of a ghetto mama getting her three year-old hood rat to go around CEC and pull wallets out of patrons purses when they weren’t looking.
One visit to my local mall is convincing me that it’s time to move.
Cheap food & entertainment with the perception of getting free stuff.
