I have my picture up on the "Red Hair And Freckles" site. :o) (It's an old picture, when my hair really was all one color!)
We all have our imperfections, and myself more than most, I feel safe in saying. But, our pasts, and our imperfections, are the things that shape us and make us the people we are. By the time we reach my age, we are hoping the process is mostly completed.

"I dont care if they hate me as long as they love me. Alas, as things stand right now they laugh at me."Yah, know the feeling. I would much prefer to have them laughing with me.

I’ve tried tanning. I turn red like a lobster. So, no tanning for me, sadly.

Imperfections? Don't say that and freckles in the same paragraph. Ok, you didn't, but the possible meaning jumped the paragraph break.
Those can be more rightly referred to as special markings...multiple beauty spots, in some (but not all) instances.

I think she is, too. But, then, I’m her mom. ;-)

*laugh* He did not say that there were NO good women, the posting merely states that they are hard to find -a premise that appears to have been supported by a great many of the replies on this thread. As for finding someone, well, it seems rather limiting to only search for a match from only those whom you are already acquainted with, especially in this day and age of hugely expanded internet access.

The key thing is to get to know their family. It's not just their family that you need to look at. When you have gone past all the usual, you suddenly realize that getting involved with them means sort of inheriting their parents, siblings, offspring, and extended family. All of who will try to have a say in matters, sad to say.
THEN we get into ex-boyfriends, ex-husbands who are mandated time with the kids (not you, there or not), and all their friends -and consider it a given that not all of them will like you for one reason or another and will try to negatively influence the relationship in so many different ways. (especially if one or more of her friends turns out to be a vindictive ex-girlfriend).

I gave up looking. Women today are messed up. But us men are also messed up. The key is understanding that no-one is perfect. When you understand that and can accept each other's imperfections, then you have a chance to make it work. Even the most loving of couples have their disagreements at times.

You are not kidding. Women of that sort as well. So many turnoffs, so little substance. As soon as the utterance comes out of their mouths that for instance FoxNews is “so right-wing”, it is a given that we are not going to have a bright future together, let alone too many constructive conversations.

Well, don't get Me wrongo mate, just having the kids is not a bad thing in and of itself. What drives Me bloody bonkers are the ones that have the little droolers running madly about with no attempt to rein them in or control them whatsoever. Knew a really nice girl some years ago that had three preteens that I quite enjoyed spending time with. Marriage to her was simply not ever going to happen, however. I guess that when she finally figured that out was when I was no longer welcome in her house.
Didn't get together with her (at all) for a date or anything when we met, I was just helping out a friend with a computer problem and she invited Me over for a visit a couple days later. Kids were much more likeable than I was used to, so I would go over now and again to visit.

...vast majority fat. Yar, really hate that. I mean, a few extra pounds is understandable, and a curvaceous lass is a comfort indeed, but when they look like Leonid Brezhnev and mass about the same, sorry but there is simply not going to be anything happening at all, at all.

At least you said TV and not computer screen....
I prefer the backwoods and nature to the office, conference rooms, and conventions, but that doesn't pay the bills.
I saw your pic. Cute and I like the backwoods. Too bad I'm not in my 20's anymore.

Good points all, but you missed one: if she has one or more friends (especially a GOOD friend) with one or more of those attributes. Believe Me, it happens.
Thankfully, I discovered something else many years back that brings much comfort as time goes by. Even the girls that I would not consider getting together with sometimes have some really good-looking friends. And vice-versa, not so fortunately...

Everyone has an about page.Put a picture up.say your single. That's not always a positive thing, luvvy. Your inbox tends to get quite crowded very quickly if you do. After awhile, I just tend to ignore it and simply read the threads instead.
