Here you go, early birds!
We get a lot of aeolian action in the Midwest. But, today ‘ll see snow.
We had some aeolian damage in the area, with trees down and some flooding. My youngest just sent me a text saying there is water in some classrooms and hallways but they are not sending anyone home.
From my college days long ago, I remember that an aeolian response would come from a respiratory patient whose alveoli were compromised.
Not as a med student — actually, modeling airflow in the long for a term project. Fascinating stuff
My condolences on the loss of your friend-we all seem to have lost a lot of friends over the past couple of years-and at far too young an age, as well...
What an appropriate WFTD-
There seems to be a whispering-
An aeolian sound, but stronger
Of people pushed to the limit
And remaining silent no longer
With gas and food costs rising,
Little work or money to be had
The mob is still howling “gimme”-
Even the gentlest of us are mad
The trough is scraped clean now-
The unwashed masses never learned-
If they suffer for that foolishness
I’m really no longer concerned...
When we all bust our asses and live from week to week, I’m fresh out of sympathy for leeches with cell phones and fancy sneakers...
