In summary, it's the plan Dems have insisted upon for ten years. Schumer insisting that the time is now and that 65% of the public is behind him. Will provide path to citizenship for 12-20 million pre-Democrat voters. Will require all illegals to learn English, stand in line for a chance for citizenship. Will "toughen visa rules." Will ensure closing the border to illegals. Now turning it over to the wonderful John McCain.
McCain: Thanks Schumer for his leadership, as well as Dick Durbin for fighting for "the dreamers." Rubio and Menendez also played important roles. This is first step in what is achievable. Will secure the border, streamline immigration, and help grant citizenship (to the 20 million illegals.) Sealing the border has already been a big success in the past five years. We need more hi-tech surveillance. It can be completed within the next few years. Employers have to be fined if they hire illegals; need employment verification system. have to shut-off the magnet [sic] that attracts illegals. Congress must pass legal channels for immigrants who want to work here. Expedited path to citizenship for "dreamers." Supply enough farm workers to country.
Eleven (20 really) million illegals have been given a raw deal in denying them the benefits of being in the country (I am not making this up). Have to let them become legal productive workers. The House also has to be involved in this legislation. 2013 offers the best chance to get all this done. Reid's abandoning of the nuclear option on the filibuster shows their willingness to work with us.
Durbin's on now...
So the House has nothing to say about it?
On paper, isn’t this thing DOA in the House?
Old joke that used to circulate in Canada was that “the United States will never try to annex us. Because they could never stand the shock of having to absorb 20 million new Democrats.”
Time to find another joke, Canada.
You mean John Boehner’s House?
That paragon of conservative principle and stout opposition to all things Obama?
THAT John Boehner?
Employemnt and high tax rates should be requirements. We need to insist that they become part of the 53%ers
~ Larry Elder, "The Ten Things You Can't Say In America"
I hope DOA in the House and then they will be the bad guys once again...They will get raked by the media. They will get raked by this administration...Not Good.
The big question: WHO will be the 18 House RINOS to vote with the 200 House RATS to pass this Amnesty bill?
1. Boner
2. Ryan

I think this will be another hot potato Boehner doesn’t want to deal with. He will allow a vote and hide under his desk with a bottle of bourbon.
It’s a done deal in the House, too. Boner has 200 RAT votes and only needs 18 RINOS to pass the Amnesty bill.
200 House RATS + 18 House RINOS = Amnesty.
This behavior was reason enough for the people to shoot it down.. no matter what the "deal" was about.
Boner has already said it will pass the House with 200 RAT and 18 RINO votes already in his pocket.
The “Stupid Party” continues its inexorable march toward losing what is left of their Conservative base.
The elephants will stampede now. Good K Street payola in supporting amnesty. Where is the cash in opposing it? They certain don’t care about small time donors in their districts.

In what universe is this man living? The border is more porous than ever.

Apparently “bipartisan” is 7 liberals and Rubio making a fool of himself.
Why did the GOP allow this group to negotiate the deal.
It’s not just they won’t get hispanic votes, they will lose republican voters.
The beltway GOP have wanted amnesty for a long time. They want to get it out of the way and think we will stay on the RINO plantation in 2014.
