I am usually in by 6:30 and don’t leave till 6:00
Mondays I come in later.
Not everything I do requires attention 60 seconds of every minute in the day.
I occasionally find time to smile.
For the record, I smoke on my time, eat on my time and try to take a **** on my time, before I come in.
Well, you may not to work such long hours if you weren’t goofing around so much. (But hey you knew I was going to say that)
A prank where I was a manager, ended up in someone getting badly hurt, a shattered ankle and blown knee which resulted in five surgeries for them.
Pranks very rarely end well for the company or the employees.
Knowing the male of the species as I do, I bet you were hot.
I think you don’t know me and I am not a practical joker.
I do however enjoy a good natured larf.
The first Joke I wrote about?
It was done on MY Lunch Time.
The second one I stated was retaliation and was also done on My lunch hour.
The 3rd one was flat out revenge. I was 24 years old on a Fast Attack Submarine.
What are you gonna do? Take away my birthday?
I have two dead teeth as a result of horseplay.
I know the difference between a joke and horseplay.
OMG!! That is Hilarious!!!
Hmmm...not sure if serious? Play is important part of human relationships. Especially in professional relationships where you may spend more time with co-workers in a given week than with family. It builds unit cohesion, and promotes morale. Let your horses run a little faster and freer with a little more slack in the reins. Or not. Old dogs, new tricks and all that.
Then staple each papercup to all papercups adjacent to it.
Then fill each paper cup to the brim with water.
All I do is work.
When I am not at work I am here.
Exactly.
This has always been my experience.
If you create an environment where people feel shackled they shut down.
I have a healthy sense of humor, but find "practical jokes" to be neither practical, nor funny. Usually just a form of bullying at best, and destructive BS crying out for a face-pasting at worst.
Limburger Cheese, taped to the bottom of a desk is good for some laughs and hilarity.
My very first job was a delivery buy for a printing company in Chicago......could you imagine them allowing a 14 year old to run around the city now?
Anyway the first day one of the pressman sent me to get him a paper stretcher from another pressman. Well you can guess the rest. I was sent all over all day to find a non existent paper stretcher. I member it like yesterday.. still can laugh at my own expense 40 years later.
A prank is not friendly conversation and joking.
A prank is not lingering over lunch/breaks to get to know your coworkers.
Good grief.
I managed people who worked with glass, heat and acids....sorry pranks to not end well in that involvement.
It’s just part of the process.
If you got your nose out of joint they would have dumped you.
I have been in High Pressure interviews with managers, and they tag team you trying to make you stumble.
They gang up on you.
Sheesh if a little joke makes you crack I don’t want you on my team.
