For some reason, I do not have problems with this. Here's my thinking: If you are thief and you come into my home to steal from me, then you are dead. Having finger cut off is much more humane than death, don't you think? The cost of courts, prisons, etc. are much better served by death by the victim.

But I still think Islam is a death cult.
