POINCIANA, Fla.,- Authorities in Florida said they arrested a man accused of stealing 166 steel manhole covers and attempting to sell them as scrap.
The Polk County Sheriff's Office said Christopher Fink, 40, was arrested Thursday after the Toho Water Authority reported $22,000 worth of manhole covers missing Wednesday in Poinciana -- and Fink was caught attempting to sell the covers at local metal dealers, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reported Friday.
Fink was charged with felony counts of grand theft, dealing in stolen property and giving false verification to a secondhand metal dealer.
The sheriff's office said more charges are possible against Fink, who has been arrested six times since October 2011.

I always meant to buy a hook, but instead always used a thick screw driver to start it.
When you are alone like I almost always was, it is easy to imagine unpleasant happenings, including getting both hands pinned, while all the fingers are broken, it was always a little nerve wracking to lift them, especially at 2am in quiet areas.

Mr. Fink is clearly not guilty. Even if his case goes all the way to the Supremes, he can continue to claim it was a religious expression and had to do with rituals related to the Mayan calender celebration and the end of end times.

Interesting, plus it calls “manhole” covers, “access” covers, which is still grossing out the dude in post 9.

Imagine a half-gallon of milk. That is roughly two liters (actually a bit less.) A bag of gold that size has a mass of 38 kg. (~83 lbs.) They toss gold bags around in the movies like they're full of flour, which is actually lighter than water.

So, that’s 299, which gives 1.8 Oreos per male pie hole. Is that metric or English?

(Yes, I counted. 23 * 13 = 299. 299/166 gives 1.8 Oreos to cover a manhole.)

Thanks guys, I have noticed the gold thing before (many times), but I didn’t notice it to that extent, nor always.
I knew that gold was heavy, but I just never put it all together as THAT heavy.
Thanks Hugin, sorry I missed it.

giving false verification to a secondhand metal dealer. They wanted Capone SO badly on that rap, but had to take a plea down to tax evasion.
