Eastern Sportsmen's Show Boycott Steamrolling (Show Your Support Now)

Here's a list of vendors and outdoor personalities boycotting the show. Please support these patriots:

I am SO boycotting this show, I wasn’t even gonna read this post.

How about a list of exhibitors that don’t boycott... so they can be boycotted too....

How about a list of vendors that will be participating so we can contact them and urge them to pull out?

This will also give Reed Exhibitions, the UK based company a good idea of what to expect as a market base in a future where these ridiculous infringements are considered/affected by the great and powerful 0z.

Cabelas is still listed on the sidebar as an exhibitor on the website, though they are off the sponsor list. I thought I saw another exhibitor who pulled out still listed as an exhibitor, but can’t remember which one.

They are not updating the website regularly. People are going ape $hit on the show’s facebook page. There are new vendors posting on facebook all the time that they will not be attending the show. There isn’t one word out of Reed.

Does anyone have any contacts for the “Outdoor Network” who is one of the prime sponsors? Is this the same as the “Outdoor Channel”?

Scrolling all the way to the bottom of the http://www.easternsportshow.com/ home page I see it IS the Outdoor Channel. I’ll be sending them an e-mail asking why I’m paying to have them as a premium offering if they are going to be sponsoring things like this.

Having “progressive” insurance as a sponsor is reason enough to pass.

The show web site is not updated with so many vendors leaving. They have also turned off the floor plan that lists the vendors. If they turn turn on the floor plan with vendors, I will list vendors by room to contact.

I just went to the grocery store and heard the local news report at the top of the hour on Rush. They are reporting on Cabela's boycotting the show.

The UK is leading the West into the abyss of destruction so it doesn’t surprise me to see this.

I just learned that BassPro will not be at the show. Their absence is due to a business decision made last summer, nothing to do with a boycott. So BassPro remains on my good to business with list.

The recent news and decision by Reed Exhibitions and the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show to refrain from the sales of modern firearms and accessories is disheartening and regrettable to hear. We are very disappointed in their decision and even though we would wish them to repeal their decision we feel that much damage has been done. The ramifications of their decision impacts many attendees and hundreds of exhibitors that have supported this event for many years.

The Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show has always been one of our favorite shows to interact with our loyal customers and fans. Due to recent events FOXPRO will not be attending the 2013 Eastern Sports and Outdoor trade show. We encourage all of our customers who intended to visit with us to place an order to visit any of our fine retailers. Gander Mountain will not be at the show, apparently like BassPro, they were not planning to attend this year.

We at King of the Mountain, Inc. have exhibited at the Eastern Sports in Harrisburg PA since 1988! This is our 25th Anniversary of continuous exhibitions. HOWEVER, unless something changes ... and changes real fast... we won’t attend. It’s time that we all hang together.. or they’ll surely hang us all separately.

What has happened? Well, the Reed Exhibitions Group that promotes the event is headquartered in Reed Exhibitions

For farily obvious, politically correct, misplaced sentimental reasons the company has banned the display of hunting and defense rifles. There is even a Facebook page supporting the boycott of the event now and Cabelas which is one of their largest sponsors has cancelled their sponsorship.

Due to Reed Exhibitions Anti 2nd Amendment stance, Bangin Redhedz Turkey Gear is withdrawing from the Eastern Sport & Outdoor show.
