Rand Paul Slams Gov. Christie For NRA Attack

Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, a possible 2016 presidential contender, on Friday slammed New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, another potential presidential hopeful, saying a number of the governor’s recent positions would likely alienate GOP primary voters.

“I think criticizing the Second Amendment movement and the over-the-top ‘give me my money’ stuff, ‘I want all 60 billion now or I’ll throw a tantrum,’ I don’t think that’s going to play well in the Republican primary,” Paul, the libertarian-leaning GOP senator, said of the Republican governor.

Those remarks, made on “The Laura Ingraham Show,” referenced recent comments from Christie on gun control and funding for the Northeast in the wake of Superstorm Sandy.

“You have some Republicans backing down like Christie backing down and criticizing the NRA, and I think that doesn’t do any good,” Paul said, according to a transcript.

“I think he may be solidifying his support with Democrats in New Jersey and maybe liberal Republicans,” Paul said of Christie’s recent positions.

I do NOT want Jeb Bush as our nominee.

But to be fair, when he was Gov. of FL, he did install the castle doctrine here in 05. I am grateful for that.

Some of us did but we were stuck with him in 2000.

He doubled the size of the federal government.

There was an expansion of government no doubt ...but then we did get hit with the first major attack on the continental U S on 9/11/01 (which was an attack on our government, our people and our way of life)

I guess he could have shied away from performing his duties as CIC and called it just a bump in the road,

I cant prove it but I think BDS is responsible for the current occupant of the W H .....he certainly rode the wave of hate Bushism which you embrace

A military operation to get OBL is one thing but occupying Afghanistan for 10 years is another.

Check the numbers I’m pretty sure he doubled the size of the Federal government.

After 9/11 he created a giant bureaucracy in the Dept of Homeland Security. He created the TSA. No Child Left Behind doubled the Dept. of Education and Medicare Part D was the largest entitlement expansion ever. I could go on but it’s depressing.
