Hard to see isignia - Finance Corps?

A while back, OD, TC, and QM officers stopped going to branch specific Officer Advanced courses and started going to a Combined Logistics course. He's wearing the Logistics branch insignia and shoulder boards...

Based on the fact that he's also wearing Rigger Wings, his basic branch was probably QM, unless he was a rigger during his enlisted days, which he almost certainly had to have had, being a Major w/ 17 years...

Could ‘t determine his branch insignia, so I’ll defer to my Army colleagues. However, I did notice a star on his jump wings, suggesting an operational tour with an airborne unit. However, in the 82nd Airborne, thousands of soldiers are required to be airborne qualified, trigger pullers and support personnel alike.
