Yes, he could talk to anybody. Some of his early work were the “happy features” he did for Channel Four in Nashville. He once awarded me a door prize of a big foot scatter rug at the Hillsboro High School auditorium. Saw him at another occassion in the Green Hills Theatre in Nashville.
I remember one story he covered was a birthday party for a pig that some nice Tennessee hayseeds were having.
