The use of 'Amish' has been a way to ridicule the journalist community. Once you complain about it, it will be all you hear. People will probably even ping you with 'Amish' comments.

It's like getting called a name like 'stinky' or 'chubs' in Jr. High and telling kids that you hate it. That toothpaste ain't goin' back in the tube!

Indeed. I am no historian of FReeper history, but my addled memory has it as a backlash to the MSM refusal to ID the perps in crimes that later were clearly black/negro, whatever floats your boat.

Amish became a sarcastic code for what was patently obvious from the MSM omission of ID of characteristics. The Amish being a notoriously violent culture, of course made it a natural choice.

Funny how that ID is rarely lacking if it is one of the non-PC groups.......
