Thank you for keeping the thread alive. Now going through Survivor and Amazing Race withdrawals. FOrtunately I have a couple of seasons of The Amazing Race to watch and I do have a GOOD link where I can watch all of the episodes of each one online.
Not quite - they do film back to back seasons to save on production costs.
Both seasons for this coming fall and winter will be in the can by the time the Fall Season starts.
Figure 40 days, around 10 days break and another 40 days totals 90 days.
So they should start filming right quick........

Yikes!!! That should be her new facebook picture.
It would certainly keep hackers away.
Thanks for the pings. This was a surprisingly entertaining season, and Cochran’s unlikely win was icing on the cake.
And I hope Eddie someday gets his kennel bar.

Big food mismanagement — they were eating three times a day and ate up all their rice. Night rice — LOL
Because two seasons of Survivor were filmed back to back at the same location on Caramoa all the coconuts had already been scooped up and eaten so there was none left for them.
'Survivor: Blood vs. Water's format twist confirmed by CBS
Survivor: Blood vs. Water's format twist has been confirmed by CBS.
The network has confirmed online rumors that this fall's 27th Survivor edition will feature returning Survivor castaways competing against family members and loved ones.
CBS disclosed Survivor: Blood vs. Water's twist during a Wednesday morning press conference in which network executives announced and discussed its 2013-2014 primetime schedule.
If you want added to or removed from this ping list, please let me know.
Please God I hope we don’t see Coach and his brother.
The Coach nightmare is one that could easily have been avoided had they gone out and cast new people. What would have been absolutely great would have been to pick out 15 or so contestants, require family references from them, and then call up those family members and go ‘oh, yeah, by the way, would you do such a thing?’ Find 8 or so who say yes, keep it a secret as best you can, and then surprise the contestants with their friends and family on the island.
Instead, we’re probably talking about half the cast being previous losers (maybe one winner, betcha Ethan wouldn’t mind some more cash), with a scattered mix of siblings, spouses and friends.
*sigh* Least they could do is twist it and make them into paired teams until the merge. Is that a friend, or an anchor you’re sitting next to?
So what would happen if 2 of the final 3 were siblings or family members? That would be weird. the jury might just avoid them if they were so similar they could not decide.
While I will watch the season I’m not too hot on the idea.
If they do 18 players the family members would be on each other team.
If they do 16 or 20 they could have the family members paired on the same teams.
Who’s in who’s alliance will shake out real quick.
You’re right, everyone will know who’s voting with who. YAWN!
It looks like they are starting out with 20 contestants so the initial teams can be 5 family pairs [where you have coalitions of families not individuals], or returnees versus their family members [Favs vs Fams], or 5 returnees on each team paired with the 5 family members of the 5 returnees on the other team.
I think this creates more of a soap opera effect which is what they are looking for.
Time and time again the viewers beg not to have returnees. I want all new people so there’s not a target on anyone’s back and no one who’s placed on a pedestal. A season where everyone starts off on a level playing field would be refreshing.

Will the producers learn anything from it???
