The bible says the world won't go out like a lion.. but rather in several small steps.
This also happens to be how communism, socialism are taking over America.
In the last days Christians won't be able to participate in society without taking the mark of the beast.
That means no food, ability to use money or other active participation in society.
Obama has got the ball rolling with Obamacare. The first small step.
Christians can have a business. But they'll be expected to contribute to the Health Care Law, which pays monies for abortions.
Knowing real Christians won't accept this.. there's no way for a Christian to own a business in America without having to pay for abortion.
One of the first marks of the beast. Maybe it's not a physical mark. It's what you're being forced to do. In this first case, pay for abortions.

Actually, the mark is three vertical bars, which in the day of the Prophets would be seen as 666. In other words a bar code. Not necessarily a physical one. See RFID chips.

Christians won’t see the Mark of the Beast, which is required during the last 3.5 years of the Great Tribulation. The Church will be gathered to the Lord before the Tribulation.

You completely missed it. It is so obvious that you overlooked it from the very beginning and you have already accepted it without question.
ASK yourself what it is you MUST have to do almost anything here in the US and most western countries?
What do you need to work?
What do you need to open a bank account?
What do you need to apply for a drivers license?
What was never supposed to be used for identification, yet you must have one and now you must apply for one for even your newborn baby before you can leave the hospital or receive your child’s birth certificate?
It follows you all of your life, no matter where you go or what you do.
Want credit? You MUST have this.
It is on every transaction you make, on your school records.
It has replaced what used to be the number on military dogtags.
It is on your school ID.
Medical records.
Loan records.
Credit records.
Utilities.
Mortgage.
ANY application you make with the government or where government is involved.
You MUST have it to own, buy, or sell land.
To rent an apartment or house.
IT IS YOU. FROM THE DAY YOU ARE BORN UNTIL AFTER YOU DIE.

I wonder how we can OPT OUT of Obamacare (in our case Medicare) based on Christian conscientious objection?
Sorry but don’t see where do you get that the bible says the world goes out like a lamb or piecemeal? I dont see that. It goes wooosh in very large increments when God finally says he has had enough during the tribulation, then gets an “extreme makeover” after it because of all the destruction so we have a NEW heaven and NEW earth.
I also don’t agree that Obama is a prophet - not according to bible standards. I don’t give him that much credit. He is simply a pawn who is being used by Satan, just like every other TWO BIT TYRANT, to bring about his destructive plan. Which I do agree—occurs as you say. Gradually.
That said, Obama is a perfect foreshadowing of the antichrist and I would not rule him out as a candidate because the antichrist starts out as just a charismatic figure who then become endued by Satan. It is Satan that gives him his power.

I think obama getting reelected is setting the stage for the end.
In order for much of prophecy to be fulfilled for the Tribulation, certain scenarios or conditions have to exist for it to work. I think that’s what’s happening with us now.
