On the Shooting USA website, Scoutten has created and is sharing business cards and fliers (see below) that allow conceal carry owners to show their support for pro-conceal carry businesses. The site also offers a card that informs gun-free zone businesses that as a conceal carry owner you won’t be risking your life without your legal conceal firearm in their “killing zones”.

According to state law, in SC, businesses must post “no firearms” signage meeting strict requirements or else it’s not enforceable. The font must be 1 inch, sign must be hung a certain height above the ground, sign must be certain size with certain wordage.
You are legally covered if the signage does’t meet certain criteria.
During our CCW class, we were advised not to make a big deal out of the failed attempt of a business to keep you from legally carrying but to carry on with our business when we see a sign that isn’t enforceable. In other words, don’t walk up to the manager and inform them that they can’t prevent you from carrying. (Don’t be an ass about it or they might just put up the right sign).
There is only one place in the Lowcountry that meets that requirement. It’s a Navy Federal bank in N. Charleston. (Of course, schools, federal buildings, bars etc....are gun free zones regardless of signage)

Economic impact!? It would also appear that in addition to not patronizing these places another impact would occur. Have the clowns in control even considered the economic impact of more draconian laws? I believe it would put a lot more people on the street because of the illegality of what they used to produce. (More unemployed=lower unemployment numbers. obiemath!) Of course they wouldn’t have to worry since the unemployment benefits have been extended. Let’s see, we are guaranteed other peoples money but not the right to arms. Hmmmm! Sounds very washingtonian to me!

hmmm - excellent point. Watch gunmakers lay off employees, ammo companies close shop. Way to go, Washington.
