OMG - catch me off guard as 1 of those times I assumed she was already dead!

Doesn’t anyone remember her “How Much is that Doggie in the Window?”

We still have sheet music; mom must’ve bought it or something.

The Hound Dog in the Window--Homer & Jethro--a song which answers both Patti Page's The Doggie in the Window and Big Mama Thornton's Hound Dog. All of these are from 1953.

Oh, yes. I was about 5 years old (I don’t remember that part, Wiki says 1953). I do remember singing it walking from the school bus stop to my house after school, and at times in the yard around the house. It must have been played on the radio. It would still come back, at unpredictable times over the years, even a few months ago I think. Maybe when playing with my dog??? (Or I am beyond the bend.)

Lots better remembering those days than the last few.

That’s the song that has been stuck in my head since I heard. It was my favorite song in those days.
