“How do you get cornmeal to last for long-term storage?”

I bought it from Walton Feed. It is professionally hermetically sealed. Also got the flour from them sealed the same way.

Pretty neat. Wonder how I missed that with all my prep research and buying. My life post-survival will be much happier with cornbread! I'll have to look into storing some myself since I'm cheap and still have some mylar bags and oxygen absorbers left. Just need a bucket. For some reason, I thought cornmeal had something in it, like fat, that would go rancid. Glad I was wrong ;)
