Subaru is recalling nearly 634,000 cars and SUVs in the U.S. because lights beneath the doors can overheat and cause fires.
The recall affects all Outback and Legacy cars from model years 2010 and 2011.

Are they incandescent? That could be a problem. Subaru is the chosen travel mode of the left wing, anti American lunatic.
Here I thought they were being recalled because they were all sold with defective bumperstickers.
Lesbian community hit hardest.
Just wondering ..... what type of pro American patriotic vehicle do you drive?
Just because of their flood of annoying radio commercials I’ll never buy one!
LMAO...You sure paint with a broad brush!
Call me a lunatic, but Subbies are better then anything I've ever driven in the snow...including my 4WD Ford pickup...
All I know is what I see and how they advertise. Subaru is “Love”. A guy drives through the mud and lets the rain wash his car to save the earth.
An Acura and a Toyota Sequoia
Agreed. I used to leave my Ram 1500 4x4 in the driveway whenever it snowed in the Poconos, unless of course my wife needed to drive our legacy outback. Most solid reliable vehicle I’ve ever owned.
Traded it on a Mustang a year ago. Not much need for it in Florida, but I still miss it sometimes.
Not totally, friend. My wife owns one and she and I see eye-to-eye on just about every political topics, and I, as my posting history will attest, am very conservative.
I will grant that she bought the car from a yuppie couple.
My Subaru STI is the best car I’ve ever owned. (Except in MPG)
160 mph top speed, handles snow almost as good as old Jeep and so far, dead reliable.
My nest car(w/in the next month or so) will BE a Subaru Outback Wagon/SUV. There are VERY FEW individuals more CONSERVATIVE than my wife and I. MOST “American” “Cars” handle like CRAP in bad weather. Oh and I ALSO drive a 1993 Mazda Protege(Love it/GREAT on gas) and a 1992 Chevy K1500 4x4 Pick-Up(It’s alright(kinda cheaply built AND has SAE AND Metric parts(DRIVES ME NUTS)).
Oh and in mid-Dec my Kid TOTALLED my 2006 Kia Optima Sedan. THAT car WAS A NIGHTMARE, handled like CRAP in ANY WEATHER and was built like CRAP. NO MORE KIAs EVER!
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says on its website that Subaru will install an additional fuse at no cost to the owners.
Apparently the fix is not going to prevent moisture from entering the lights.
“It is also the car of choice of lesbians and feminazis.”
You have that right.

“NO MORE KIAs EVER!”
What would you expect from a company that uses “Killed In Action” as it’s name?
Scrw em, just take the bulb out and replace it with an LED,
I happen to like Subarus, I have the carcasses of three of them in my yard, but I do not drive them anymore in Alaska as they are too low to the ground and a moose hit would nearly decapitate the driver, better to have a higher more boxy front end.
In the near future I suspect many recalls will involve the placement of tracking devices or mileage monitors. Think of those gas and electric meters that transmit your usage.
Now I used to be a dealership mechanic and we were often told to create some minor fixit situation on recalled vehicles when they showed up to generate revenue.
