Let me say I am not, repeat not a Cowboy fan, but always respected the team and some players( Staubach, Aikman, Dorsett, the Doomsday D), until Arkansas Jerry took over. I read the back story of how they treated Tom Landry. Anytime that team loses is a good day. They are all thugs and degenerates. Sadly, I read that Romo is actually a good-hearted guy on and off the field and a sportsman. He is just in over his head.
That said, Jerry will keep Romo and cut the coaches. Amazing that a franchise QB that consistently chokes on the big game is kept. Deja vu of Fran Tarkenton, albeit Tark was a gunslinger, Romo is at best a journeyman QB. IMO.
I am getting tired of people who never indicated, or showed, any respect towards Tom Landry, to keep bringing this up when talking about Jerry Jones. I never recalled any one in the media or the non-Dallas fanbase who said any thing nice about Tom Landry until he was fired, never.
Tom Landry and Jerry Jones resolved this and Tom Landry “forgave” Jones for this long ago, before Landry died.
It’s like these liberals who say that it was wrong for people to trash Bush after Bush left office, who now say conservatives should not talk bad about Obama.
It's like the Twins -- despite being among the best hitting teams in baseball, like, forever (Killebrew, Tovar, Carew, Oliva), they never won; so the Vikes, with some of the best receivers in the NFL over and over, never did more than rinky-dink 5- and 10-yard passes.
That's what makes Adrian Peterson so amazing: the Vikings winning with a running back? Maybe Tom Clancy's plot in The Sum of All Fears is more realistic than I thought. (The Vikes were in the Super Bowl due to a running back, when the nuke blew it up.)
Cheers!
