Although I love the country as a second home and one that has treated me incredibly well, I would, as a concerned parent first and latterly, of a one-year-old daughter who may attend an American elementary school like Sandy Hook in three years time seriously consider deporting myself.

works for me, the sooner the better
To Piers Morgan: Don’t wait. Emigrate. Piers probably has his kids enrolled in one of those private schools with armed guards patrolling the premises - he should be ignored, as always.
I guess Piers would feel better if the Perp stole his Mother’s Car and ran over those kids instead of shooting them.
He would blame us because we drive on the Right side of the Street rather than the Left side.
Mr. Morgan’s problem points nicely to its own solution.
This pompous ass really does believe his own press.
Beyond parody.
“You dont have to worry about deporting me.
Yeah, the problem is that the Brits don’t want him back.
Oh please Piers..it will be the best news ever..JUST LEAVE..the air wont smell so much of shame and puke anymore
I thought a Piers Morgan was some discontinued British Leyland/Morris Garage runabout with a 4 cylinder sewing machine under the bonnet.
The 2nd Amendment is not in the Bill of Rights to protect squirrel-hunting or target-shooting. It is there to recognize the right of the people to keep and bear contemporary military arms; in order to discourage tyranny, whether foreign OR domestic. The battles of Concord and Lexington did not occur so that a nascent America could fill a cook-pot. The British were coming to seize stores of powder and ball from militia armories."
It is quite clear that you either truly understand, nor appreciate accept the 2nd Amerndment, or if you do, then you do not accept it's premise. Fine, You don't have to. And, not because I say so, but because the right to believe as you do as well as the right to express those beliefs are God-given rights, and are enshrined in the Bill of Rights.
Get it? Got it? Good!
Adios, mofo.
Apparently UK did not meet his demands because he left there also.
The following is not about gun control or any lack thereof, but of Piers Morgan’s inability to research and apply such study to the laws and customs of a country in which he is only a guest.
Mr. Morgan, for all of his bluster about how he knows history and how he knows best, is shockingly light on U.S. History.
It seems in 1776 there was a bit of a dust-up over the british telling us what to do and how to govern ourselves. For some reason, this entire kerfuffle appears to have eluded Mr. Morgan’s notice, as he clearly feels that Americans are suddenly ripe for having the british tell us how to govern ourselves. He is badly mistaken.
If he really wants to be in a society that severely restricts guns, there are flights departing almost hourly for London. He should feel free to book a first class ticket (I’m sure many here would gladly donate to that fund) and take his “arse” back over the big pond to where guns are rare and largely illegal...but there are still gun related massacres, as well. Seems to be proof that this fantasy of his that banning guns will prevent school shootings is factually incorrect and proven historically wrong IN HIS OWN COUNTRY. In the mean time, his efforts seem far better used to boost his failing ratings, not trying to tell people in a country he is not a citizen of how to run their country. Calling a guest on his show “an incredibly stupid man” only betrays Mr. Morgan’s own lack of intellect about how this country runs and was founded.
The laws in America, and the government itself, only derive their just powers form the consent of the governed, not by legislative fiat by someone whose sole authority to govern was winning the lucky sperm competition some years ago.
The Declaration of Independence and the U-S Constitution, which guarantees our right to have these weapons, were written because the people who founded this great country were tired of the british and their laws and wanted a new set of rules for over here. If the british had it so right, why did people seek to leave at the cost of their own lives in many cases? Yes, our laws are largely derived from british common law, but things like the right to keep and bear arms were a direct attack against the bad old ways of jolly old england.
The miracle of satellite communications should make it very easy for Mr. Morgan to relocate back to England and continue his gebfest here, where he can cloak himself in the protection that gun bans provide there. Just try not to bring up Dunblane. He probably would consider someone bringing proof—from england—that his idea won’t work as “an incredibly stupid man”.
As My Dear departed Mother would say...”Don’t let the door hit you on the ass on the way out”
Iquit watching “America’s Got Talent” because of this arrogant ass. It was obvious he didn’t like anything American.
If the audience raved over some act he would denigrate not only the act, but also the crowd.
If he looked in the average American gun safe, or the bedroom closet, he would probably wet himself.
He is today’s typical Brit. All the genes for intestinal fortitude were killed off in the Second World War. America is not far behind.
A “magnum. 45”? Does he mean a long Colt. 45?
Yeah, his kid will undoubtedly go to a Sidwell-type school with armed guards.
“We hate Brits.” It was that (as you might snidely put it, Piers) unfortunate attempt on your part to disarm us at Concord, leading to the unpleasantness at Lexington followed by us picking your lobsterbacks off like fish in a barrel. And then the burning of our homes and murdering what were then your countrymen, even if you looked down your long noses at us.
So you call it quits, pack it in ... then start things off again by agitating our Injuns, taking our merchant seaman off ships and burning our White House, until we chased you out again.
But mainly it’s because you are one of the few Europeans more annoying than our erstwhile allies, the French.
Sod off you arrogant git.
>> , I would, as a concerned parent first
Get lost, you #ing cucker. And take your damn spawn with you.
Your kids will go to a school with armed security guards- you know it and we know. So don’t let the door hit ya where your boyfriend split ya.
Don’t let the door hit you in the ass and take Alec Baldwin with you. Two of a kind.
