I lived in the Houston Area for 20 years. I was always told that if God had intended Texans to ski he’d made cow sh** white!
Well, it was what other Texans told me!

Heavy snow just north of Dallas county here. Sticking a little. Makes for a nostalgic and temporary reminder of our former home in Connecticut... God Bless Texas and Merry Christmas all FReepers!

Yes, but are those snow flakes BIGGER than the ones we are having here in Colorado? (hehe)
We only get about 1 in 5 white Christmases so this is fun. Maybe not for those kiddies that got bikes for Christmas, but it’ll melt within a day or so.

Years ago I told an elderly friend that it would be nice to have a White Christmas, and with a straight face he replied: “Why? It didn’t snow at the first Christmas. I had to admit that he was right. We’ve had about 4-5 inches since Friday, although it wasn’t our first snowfall here in Central NY. Now a storm is predicted to come through here tomorrow night, and drop 6-10 more inches. About a foot is predicted west of us.

Stickin’ to the roads here north of Longview. If it keeps up I’m gonna have to call Algore to help me scrape this global warming off my driveway.
