Newt Gingrich is working with RNC Chairman Reince Priebus to develop a 6 to 9 month planning group to reinvigorate the GOP for 2014 and 2016 and beyond. Tough, major changes are required to match the Dems entrenched political machines and coalitions.
Ugh.

The pope pressed his opposition to gay marriage Friday, denouncing what he described as people eschewing their God-given gender identities to suit their sexual choices -- and destroying the very "essence of the human creature" in the process.
Face it.
While Gingrich can enthuse our side, he did quit when he should have fought, bigtime.
And he has waffled sometimes big.
He is a welcome member of our side, but Newt please, please do not run again.
I’ll second that sentiment.
There’s a sucking vacuum in the Republican party right now. Someone’s has got to step in.
We could do much much worse than Newt.

Interesting set of recommendations. There’s no doubt he has a brilliant analytical mind. I wish I could truly trust him and Rance Priebus. But these ideas give real conservatives a place to start, as long as we continue to be involved at the very local level. Thanks for the post.

Newt is desperately tring to remain relevant. I used to like him....before his global warming love fest with Pelosi. When he ttrashed Ryan’s plan as right wing social engineering, he jumped the shark. If he wants to be useful, he could give the pubbie-wusses lessons on how to deal with stupid mediawhore questions.
Well, we better be able to do a lot better or get used to a dem in the WH for many years to come.

We all need to sit back and carp, complain, critcize and condemn anyone who tries to step up and do something to bring the Republican Party to its senses. That will certainly achieve our goals.
Step 2: Find some descent conservative candidates for Senate and House and start grooming a conservative for the Presidency in 2016
Step 3: Oust the current eunuch GOP Congressional leadership and replace them with people with cajones.

I don’t know how many times I’ve said that he can really talk the talk, but he can’t walk the walk.
If he’d stayed in his hole this past election cycle, we might not have gotten stuck with Romney. Now he wants to work with RINO Reince Priebus. Together, they intend to screw things up again.
