Never mind the fact that the NRA goes into a hiding hole in the ground somewhere everytime there is a dust up, leaving 2nd Amendment Supporters and Law Abiding Gun Owners to fend for themselves, which brings the usual question around these times. Where is the NRA?
A more important question needs to be asked. As we see so-called "pro gun" Democrats warming up to tighter gun controls, according to reports, we may just see where are membership dues went to those who will not help. How many of these Democrats that will come out for gun control laws did the NRA give money to and help get re-elected? Most of us have had concerns with the way the NRA seems to eager to "negotiate" at times. Usually because it comes too close to giving up ground that should never be given up.
Many have the renewal forms coming in the mail. I'm sure many will be watching to see if they want to give any more to those who might actually work against the rights of gun owners/law abiding citizens.
I'm not like you and the whining anti-NRA a$$holes.
You don't dare deny that ... because we NRA members actually saw it, with our own two eyes, besmirching the pages of our American Rifleman magazines.
Now ... if you want to look like a blithering idiot, you can go nattering on about how that endorsement gave NRA 'leverage' or 'influence' or some such rot.
If you're sane, you'll admit that endorsing gun-control 'Rats is a bad idea.
You don't see squat. Your blind hatred is what is plainly visible.
The NRA rates candidates for their pro 2nd Amendment record. They don't tell you which candidate to vote for. They expect you to be able to figure it out for yourself. Evidently, you aren't smart enough.
we NRA members
I've been an NRA Life Member since Harlan Carter was EVP and no one from the NRA has ever told me or forced me to vote for any candidate! I have all my copies of the American Rifleman magazine so please provide the month and page where the NRA told you to vote for a "gun control 'Rat".
Reagan was a Democrat at one time.
To all of which I say: Bullshit. Chris Cox is an idiot, and a dupe. And that's giving him the benefit of the doubt.
Get it yet? Your precious NRA supports gun-control democRats.
BTW, what's that crap about "hunting heritage"??? Hunting is all well and good; I do it and I support it. But you, and Chris Cox, and NRA need to get this through your thick skulls:
THE SECOND AMENDMENT IS NOT ABOUT HUNTING. IT IS ABOUT DEFENSE AGAINST TYRANNY.
Contrary to Chris Cox's misguided urging, I DID NOT vote for that 'Rat bastard Joe Manching.
You're welcome.
Where is the month and page number? Where does the NRA tell you or anyone else who to vote for?
Chris Cox is an idiot, and a dupe.
Then you should feel right at home.
THE SECOND AMENDMENT IS NOT ABOUT HUNTING. IT IS ABOUT DEFENSE AGAINST TYRANNY.
You finally did get something correct, just like what you posted Cox stated; "right to self defense". Your blind NRA hatred makes you look like a fool. Of course from your posts one could rationally come to that conclusion.
Follow the bloody link. I rub your nose in it, and still you deny.
Seek help.
Seriously ... you need help. Professional help.
You have the right to your own opinions ... but denying reality just makes you insane.
Your link goes nowhere. Give me the month and the page and I'll look in my American Rifleman.
You took the liberty of underling hunting, but not self defense, why? Your agenda driven hatred is so obvious and pathetic.
You have the right to your own opinions
Well just.......DUH! Mine are based on facts while yours are based on emotion.
Go to the "bing" search engine. Enter the search terms [ nra endorse manchin ]. My link is the very first hit, at www.nrapvf.org/news-alerts/2012/10/nra-pvf-endorses-joe-manchin
You'll notice that's the NRA/PVF itself, no secondary source. I suspect that the leftards are attacking the site ... keep trying.
Now ... unless you're living in West Virginia, your copy of the November, 2012 edition of American Rifleman is different from mine. Specifically, it has the political endorsements for your State, whatever it may be, rather than the political endorsements for West Virginia.
Again, simple facts ... too bad you refuse to see.
Oh, yes ... I just got through to the nrapvf site. It's slow, but it's there.
Here's the latest:
http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/nra-member-sen-manchin-says-newtown-shooting-open-141440511--election.html
Gee ... what was I just saying?
Oh, yes ... that NRA endorsement just gives Rat Bastard Joe cover when he starts going after gun bans. NRA endorsed, "A" rated "gun rights advocate" (spit) Joe Manchin thinks people shouldn't have 'assault weapons'. Obviously those who oppose gun bans are unreasonable extremists.
Thanks for giving Manchin cover, NRA. That was really brilliant strategy.
You made the claim, you provide the proof. Which month and the page number!
Again, simple facts ... too bad you refuse to see.
Are these facts?
As Governor of West Virginia, Manchin signed state Castle Doctrine legislation to restore the right to self-defense in a persons home and property. He also signed state legislation to increase reciprocity for West Virginia Right-to-Carry permit holders.
While serving in the United States Senate, Joe Manchin signed a bipartisan letter opposing any international treaty by the United Nations or any other global organization that would impose restrictions on American gun owners.
Manchin also cosponsored S. 2188, The National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Act, which would have ensured that law-abiding Americans with a valid concealed handgun permit would have been able to carry a concealed handgun in any other state that does not prohibit concealed carry.
Manchin cosponsored S. 570, a bill that would prevent the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives from circumventing the will of Congress by centralizing records of thousands of Americans long gun purchases.
I provided the proof. You, sir, have the responsibility to look at it. Looks like you finally did, since you're now quoting Chris Cox's rather lame attempt to hold up manchin as some sort of Pro-Gun Hero. So he signed on to legislation that was going nowhere. BFD.
Now that the stuff is hitting the fan, what's Your Boy Manchin doing?
Oh, yes ... When it really counts, he wants to talk about banning 'assault weapons'.
See? I told you so.
BTW, since you followed the link, you saw this:
"Voters in West Virginia can trust that Joe Manchin will respect their right to self-defense and will honor their rich hunting heritage, Cox continued. We urge all NRA members and gun owners in West Virginia to vote Joe Manchin for U.S. Senate on November 6."
Don't try to deny it, don't try to ignore it, don't dare to pretend it doesn't exist.
Do you, personally, think that voting for democRat Joe Manchin is a good idea? If you lived in West Virginia, would you vote for democRat Joe Manchin?
Do you dare answer either of those questions?
"Important ally"????
How's that working out for you now that it really matters, Chrissy?
No you didn't gasbag. What month and page in the American Rifleman?
you're now quoting Chris Cox
Are you going to prove they are lies?
Your Boy Manchin
He's not my boy, drama queen.
We urge all NRA members
I urge you to remove your head from your colon, but I can't tell you to do it or make you do it, emoter.
Do you dare answer either of those questions?
Why would I? I don't know what Manchin was, what he did or didn't do and thankfully I don't live in West Virginia.
Now once again, I ask you to post the month and page number in the American Rifleman where you claim Cox told NRA memkbers to vote for anti-gun candidate Manchin.
We also helped elect new pro-gun senators such as Deb Fischer, R-Neb., Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., and Ted Cruz, R-Texas.
Tell us about how perfect you are, appropriately handled arrogant bastard.
He's not my boy,
So you say. Yet Chris Cox and NRA endorsed the little creep, and you defend their decision. Thanks for giving the nasty leftist cover.
I don't know what Manchin was, what he did or didn't do
Yet you continue to defend Chris Cox and NRA's decision to endorse him ... and do so from a position of complete and utter ignorance. That's just stupid ... discussing this with you is a complete waste of my life ... you don't know what you're talking about, and refuse to learn.
Good-bye.
The American Rifleman with Defeat Obama on the cover, faux NRA member. What took you so long to find it?
center section with all the rest of the political ratings and endorsements.
You mean between page 60 and 61, faux NRA member?
Chris Cox and NRA endorsed the little creep
The NRA rates the candidates on their pro gun record. They didn't tell you or force you to vote for anyone, did they?
complete and utter ignorance
So how did popular Gov. Manchin win in West Virginia if he was anti-2nd Amendment prior to the election? Are the majority of the voters complete and utter ignoramuses? You appear to be, but is the entire state?
