Socks really are a perfectly good gift to give a fellow man. Especially work socks or gold-toes. Real men like high-quality, practical things.

Then again boys, if you gave me ammo for Christmas I'd think that was just a tad presumptuous, unless we were shooting buddies or something. My hunting cartridges are custom loads, and I am just as particular about other pieces. And - it's just a little bizarre - if kinda cool - I guess - but also kinda poserish. Like - you're going to give me a case of shot shells for Christmas? Just kinda wierd. No, from a guy, socks or a bottle of something is just fine.

And though it can be fun to talk about, part of being a man is not having to consult others - especially talking heads - to figure out what to buy.
