Reports I heard say the few who went to a hospital went to Danbury. Not sure exactly how far that is.

Alot of the small towns on the east coast are only a couple miles apart, might actually have been faster to drive them than wait for a chopper setup.

Not sure where the hospital is in Danbury, but the center of town is about a 10 miles away from Newtown. The prudent thing would have been to launch the med-flight if available. They have life saving gear and trained personnel on board. Seems odd that one wasn't sent.
