Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) on the house floor
"I believe it should be pronounced here today, that the reform of the entitlements based upon slipshod, reckless, deliberations or should I say actions are a non-starter. There is no way, Mr. Speaker, that we should raise the eligability age for Medicare, that we should not think carefully about how we approach the reform of Medicaid. And that we don't the American people that Social Security is solvent. So, I would say move quickly to pass the middle class tax cuts that would be for all Americans, 100 % up to 250,000 dollars."

A mind is a terrible thing to waste, but if you live in the right congressional district it doesn’t matter how much your mind is wasted.
Wasn’t she the foreman on OJ’s jury?
,,, well Sheila jack@$$ Lee ,, one of them is earned ,, SSA payments are the rest are earned OK ,, by someone else .
Is that English or Ebonics?
Jackson-Lee make Wasserman-Shultz look smart.
You keep using that word. I don't think it means what you think it means.
ROTFLMAO. Tell em Sheila while you sit your fat ass in a Mercedes screwing your constituents royally.

Geez!
I’ve had meatloaf with more intelligence that that moron skank ghetto bimbo slug.
entitlement culture
would it be possible to require at least a 2-digit IQ score for people to “serve” in Congress?
It really makes you wonder what the literacy rate (if any) there is in any Congressional district that would elect this moron as their representative.
SSA and Medicare are not entitlements. They are insurance programs. How do I know? That’s what the Dems told us when they passed the programs.
I don’t understand the resistance to raising the eligibility from 65 to 67 when the same idiots want to “means test” the same programs. Means testings proves they were never “insurance” programs.
This is a bit of a misrepresentation of what she said. She didn’t say “Entitlements are not handouts but they are earned,” she said “entitlements THAT are not handouts but they are earned.” Looking solely at the grammatical structure of the sentence, that’s a huge difference, as it limits the word “entitlements.” In context, she appears to be talking about Medicare and SSA - which are, judging from my paycheck, “earned.”
The problem with anything that Jackson Fleas asserts is ... wit for it ... she’s so ignorant that she probably means something other than what comes tumbling out of her poseur mouth1
Jackson-Fleas greatest problem is that she is not Barbara Jordan whom she is trying to sound like.
Was Babs Jordan this insane?
Absolutely not! She was a very intelligent and well spoken LADY.
