A wealthy businessman married four women in one day at one wedding ceremony, according to press reports.
The BBC had reported at the time of the wedding that South African businessman Milton Mbele broke all the traditional rules of a polygamous wedding when he recently married four women on the same day.
"I do not know how much four different weddings would have cost me but I did it all at once to save money," he was quoted as saying.
"For example, I just needed one tent, I had to hire one caterer and one photographer for the whole ceremony."
I started saving money for the event in late 2007 and began collecting quotes from things like the tent and restoration costs at the beginning of last year."
He says he loves all his wives who are: Thobile Vilakazi, Zanele Langa, Baqinisile Mdlolo and Smangele Cele, equally and treats them all like that.
Mbele has four rings on his finger that he says is a sign of his commitment to all his wives.
The four brides dressed in flowing white robes walked down the aisle together, before saying we do to their boyfriend who is 44-years-old.
He’s a businessman. He’s efficient.
I want to hear about the honeymoon night, mr efficency !

It's not really polygamy if you can keep all the rings on one finger.
When you have to use the other hand and move on to the feet, it starts to be trouble.
So, do men with multiple wives share women with men with no wives?
Seems like there would be some men at the bottom of the totem pole who would go without.
Maybe he will rely on his staff?
Four wives? I find one to be more than sufficient.
Wow! His honeymoon is going to be wild.
Polygamy is okay. If marriage isn’t one man and one woman, it’s anything and everything
The economies of scale.
I like someone that is wise with money.
Many do go without.
Its one reason the Tahrir square atrocities happened.
Also certain distasteful Pathan proclivities.
etc.
I am sure that the ‘right’, to multiple partners will be found somewhere in the constitution in the next two years.
Heck, if Obama adds a tax to it and they can bypass the whole Supreme Court thingy.
Bite your tongue!
LOL. I guess since he is such a spendthrift that he married all on the same day, you missed your chance to be #5.
Darn! If only I had known!! I'm always a day late and a dollar short! :)
Too. Much. Estrogen.
I just can’t imagine - 4 mother-in-laws...
