Meh. 1932 and 1943-era films are not my speed. I can stomach zombie comedies but I like it best if the genre is treated seriously.

It is so silly to take a fantasy seriously. Since zombies are already dead and rotted they can’t be really killed, so you break them down by destroying their support system. their skeleton.
Think a slug in the pelvic area taking out their backbone and legs. Or you can kneecap them with a rifle. That is how you put down a zombie.
Then out comes the kerosene and light them up.
