So, I’m not sure what “ranking” means. Top Democrat on the committee? Member with longest service? But evidently NOT the chair, which was what I assumed from the headline and lead paragraph.
Maybe we should elect comedians.

There are real financially brilliant people in this country, why aren’t they chosen to fix the nation - threatening problem. The very existence of the USA is in peril. Soon, the USA may be no more relevant than the USSR, which no longer exists, for the same reason the USA will soon no longer exist: financial and political mismanagement.

I of course have no idea of the actual derivation of the word, but to be “embarassed” it would seem like you have to be “bare assed” and feel a tad shamed by it. Since there is no shame in anything this woman (and many dozens more like her) could possibly say or do, this is where the “embarassment” fails as a checking mechanism.
If the Reps are in charge of the House; how did she get this? Boner must go now.
