The vast improvement in Allied
positions in November has
brought an increase in betting
as to the war's duration.
Some brokers are wagering
even money the war will end by
June, 1943, The News Chronicle
reported today.
Lloyds, however, is refusing to
lay any odds or take any wagers.
Bet the farm on “Not ended by June ‘43.”
