The 2012-13 bowl season starts in Albuquerque, N.M., and ends in Miami. Here's a look at the schedule from the Gildan New Mexico Bowl on Dec. 15 to the Discover BCS National Championship Game on Jan. 7 in Miami's Sun Life Stadium.

I know Pitt played in the last-ever Bluebonnet Bowl in 1987 and they still haven’t been paid.
Bowl season is to college football what the NIT is to college basketball....nobody cares.
bttt
“Example Alabama loses and only drops 2 spots to move right back to a #2 position. A likes of OU, Kansas St, or Notre Dame had lost they would have dropped out of top 10 (as they did early on).”
Um, K-state did lose. They didn’t drop out. Oregon lost. They didn’t drop out. OK lost. They didn’t drop out. Till they lost another. As far as Notre Dame goes, they are playing in the Championship game. So, what’s your point again?
ROOOOOOL TIDE!!!!!!!
This boggles the mind. Northern Illinois best win was over Kansas or Kent State. They lost to Iowa.
OU underachieves, but would crush the directional school.
I bet NIU will beat Florida State.
Good call. You’re right.
Maybe UGA should have declined a trip to the SEC Championship game in order to make sure they could go to a BCS game.
The Florida game looks to be a real snoozer. :(
Speak for yourself. I want to see OU play and win. Just because YOUR team got stomped by OU, don’t try to speak for the rest of us.
The only intrigue would have been seeing them go up against Charlie Strong, but if rumors are to be believed, Charlie may not be around for that game.
Subjective rankings need to be supplanted by an objective playoff.
Nobody in their right mind would pick NIU. But because NIU was ranked higher than Rose Bowl bound 5 loss Wisconsin and the Big Least Champion Louisville NIU gets an automatic BCS bid.
You mean the way all of the other NCAA Football divisions do it?
When Alabama puts an old fashioned Southern whuppin’ on the Irish in January, what will be your whine then? Any of the top four SEC teams would beat Notre Dame convincingly this year. Spurrier might have even run the score up, to make the point!
I think the Chick Fil ‘A Bowl might be interesting with Clemson vs. LSU. The SEC is going to put on a beating of those Big 10 = 12 teams in the Florida bowls. Your Gators have to beat Louisville by at least 3 TDs or they are an embarrassment to the SEC. (Although UF tends to play to the level of their opponent) :)
The Gators don’t blow teams out like they used to....they play good defense, and they get just enough offense to win....probably will be the case here as well.
But at least it would be some revenge for losing to them in last year’s Regional Final.
The way all other sports period do it.
“I bet NIU will beat Florida State”
Step away from the crak pipe....
That side-line fly pass caused me to break a table!
