I hate most Christmas stories as they are so sappy and saccharine. Only A CHRISTMAS STORY avoids these pitfalls.
< I do like the western THREE GODFATHERS.

“Please tell Mister Scrooge that Mister Marley is not expected to make it through the night. So he’d better take his leave of Mister Marley before there’s no Mister Marley to take his leave of, as we know it.” You have to say it like you’re Michael Palin in drag.

Yes, it’s a classic and I always, at some point while watching, say a quick thank you prayer for my nearly “normal” family. While we might be a bit dysfunctional, at least we do not have an Uncle Eddie. ;-)

Bad Santa with Billy Bob...of course.
How a jaded, alcoholic thief finds the Christmas spirit and helps out a pathetic little kid warms my heart and my cockles too!
As well as a few good belly laughs.

"You wish to remain anonymous?" "I wish to be left alone. Since you ask me what I wish sir, that is my answer. I help to support the establishments I have named; those who are badly off must go there."
Sometimes I feel this way when every store has bell ringers outside knowing full well that most of the money goes to the "obamaphone" man-chick types or the pedicured and coiffed "it's free, swipe yo' EBT" types! I feel like saying "I thought OBAMA was going to take care of it all?" Just call me "Scrooge!"

Yes, so many lines that are just funny no matter how many times you watch it. I love the department store scene....”yes, it’s a bit nipply out”. Chevy Chase is hilarious.

The Original miracle on 34th street. Not the remake.
Also the Santa Clause and Home Alone.

Humbug. I’m feeling ungenerous this year. Maybe it’s because a majority of voters voted themselves year round christmas gifts.

Be thankful.
I have a Cousin John (by marriage).
Problem is, he's nowhere near as funny.
Probably not as smart either.
(by the way, its cousin eddie)

A Christmas Story.
Period.

All the above mentioned are great. My wife and I have added “The Nativity” into our Christmas viewing routine.

hell with all that heavy drama Christmas stuff like the tiresome “It’s a wonderful life” I’m voting for Scrooged with Bill Murray.
