My 2nd TCM movie alert for today. TCM will be airing the Ronald Reagan comedy "The Girl From Jones Beach" at 11 AM E.S.T. on Friday, November 30, 2012. It's a fun, goofy comedy that's worlds away from Reagan's dealing with the Soviets and fixing Carter's economic disaster. The voluptuous Virginia Mayo makes a very lovely leading lady for him and was quite fond of Reagan off-screen as well. I remember later seeing her in an interview where she said he was one of her favorite leading men. Don't expect anything deep but for light entertainment it works if you're a fan of Reagan and/or Miss Mayo.

My Tivo faithfully records lots of TCM movies for me...but they all come out blank. Maybe I need to subscribe to TCM — the movies that Tivo selects all look great and I feel cheated. I’m sure w Comcast I’ll be required to also take all sorts of drek I don’t want just to get TCM. Also, I have a huge aversion to buying anything with “Turner” in the name.
Thanks for the heads-up. I viewed the clip, and it looks like a fun movie.
It is. TCM is also airing another Ronald Reagan/Virginia Mayo on Sunday at 8AM-

I haven’t seen that one yet but my DVR is set. I also learned today would’ve been Miss Mayo’s birthday and she was a lifelong Republican(rare for Hollywood in any era).
