CANTON, Ohio -
A northeast Ohio man caught on video apparently making fun of a young girl with cerebral palsy has been sentenced to a month in jail.
William Bailey, 43, was sentenced to the maximum sentence after pleading no contest Tuesday to reduced misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and aggravated menacing, court officials said.
Bailey was caught on cellphone video at a school bus stop making fun of how the 10-year-old disabled girl walks. The video was then widely disseminated on the Internet and local TV news, the (Canton) Repository reported

The girl’s Dad may well be a gentleman, and the creep would escape any punishment.
the punishment phase should be left to less sensitive people, such as myself.
There is a difference between abhorrent behaviour and criminal behaviour. This man is juvenile and cruel. But unless he was threatening the girl, he did nothing criminal.
This is a scary reminder that just below the surface of our justice system is mob rule. Do something that people find disgusting and loathsome (like this man did) and society will brand you a criminal (ie, take your freedom).
Hell that means we can get rid of most of Congress and the Federal government. That sounds good to me.
What is this clown doing at a school bus stop in the middle of the day.Can you say unemployed pedophile?
“Cruel? Yes. Criminal? No. This jerk should have been taught some manners the old-fashioned way: a sound thumping by a citizen with some sense of decency.”
Absolutely.
ROFL!!!
No one but no one not even the Patterson film caught a Sasquatch in the act of eating,

Margaret More: Father, that man's bad. Sir Thomas More: There's no law against that. William Roper: There is: God's law. Sir Thomas More: Then God can arrest him.
This sentence is way over the top. Rude behavior needs a sincere apology, not jail time.

Not out-of-control Police State Uber Alles!
I suppose you're OK with the Fibbies stealing your tax dollars to fund the 15-person squad working round-the-clock, 7 days a week to investigate Jill Kelley's emails, because of the possible security implications for The State?
Don't worry, though - they'll wrap things up in January or February...
For the few seconds I had FOX on last night, I heard the two families do not get along and have not been getting along for a long time. So why take it out on a child? Very grownup indeed.
Disgusting.
Agree completely. Rush was talking about the insanity of this case yesterday.
As disgusting as the guy’s behavior was, what’s next on the slippery slope? If someone makes fun of a fat person, will they face jail time? You just know that racial slurs will qualify, too-—but only certain KINDS of racial slurs.
Ugly behavior is simply not the same as illegal behavior, and if we decide to make those judgements based on emotion, we’re siding with the lunatic left.
Yeah its facist to prohibit abusing a child.

I'm turning myself into the authorities right now.
A couple of sharp taps to the base of his spine with a sledgehammer should do nicely. A month in jail won’t help this a’hole.
Didn’t the left go after Palins baby?
“There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What’s there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced nor objectively interpreted and you create a nation of law-breakers — and then you cash in on guilt. Now that’s the system.”

-— This would not have happened 50 years ago. A man harassing a child would have been confronted by other men, and that man would have been dealt with. Knowing this, the harassment would not likely have occurred ——
There are gray areas around law. Some misdeads are best dealt with informally.
For example, my wife works at a supermarket, and the shoplifting regulars are known. When they enter the store, if a clerk is available, the clerk will tail them. But the clerks are instructed NOT to attempt to stop them if they leave with stolen merchandise.
In the old days, the cops would have taken the thief to jail, and the thief would have accidentally bumped into a door.
For thee kinds of crimes, corporal punishment is, paradoxically, the most humane.
“But youd prefer we tolerate child abuse.”
No, but if there were any “true” men around anymore, they would have knocked this jerk on his ass!
