Thanks just pulled a shotgun from the gun cabinet in case the bad guys come back.Sure it’s not loaded but I can show it.
If you have a gun it is to use - NOT for show. Even if the gun is loaded it won’t do any good if one doesn’t have the will to use it.
An unloaded gun MAY scare the bad guys away, or they’ll shoot you, or they’ll take your gun and beat you with it.
My Mossberg has 5 high-brass rounds of #1 buck in it at all times. Though at the range I practice with cheaper low-brass bird shot (#6, 7.5, or 8). I do fire the (expensive) high power rounds through it from time to time just to keep acquainted with the recoil. Heck in my state it is even legal to drive to the range with it loaded and laying across my lap. (just not allowed to have a round in the chamber of a long-gun in a vehicle) Now that would make for an awkward scene if someone tried to car-jack me... ;-)
Tuck the stock tightly under your armpit so the recoil wont hit your shoulder directly. Get a cop to load it if you need help with that.
Thanks for listening. now i will stop bothering you. =)
