The Failure of Those in Charge Permeates District 7 in the Bronx
South Bronx School ^ | 11/24/12 | BronxTeacher

Juan Gonzalez wrote a great piece in yesterday's Daily News on how the Young Leaders Elementary School, a school opened up by Uncle Mike in 2008, is now on the list of possible closures.

Funny thing is, Young Leaders Elementary School replaced another closed school, PS 220 back in 2008. PS 220 was run by one of the classiest principals ever to work for the DOE, Michelle Kahn. I know Michelle is up above having the last laugh. She should.

Again, students and their families education is going to again be uprooted and thrown into disarray. Will another school be a community school, or will be a magnet school attracting students from all over the neighborhood. Teachers that have built up some modicum of trust within the community will be thrown away like bathwater. Then again, since this school opened up in 2008, I am sure there are plenty of new, malleable teachers to keep around.

It still amazes me that teachers are thrown in with the first responders when it is reported in any form of media .....police, firefighters and teachers much like navy seals, marines and clothes designers

It’s For the Children. Anytime you invoke that phrase, it implies it’s the Lord’s Work.

Yipes! Is it too idealistic to expect anyone self-identifying as a teacher to have better composition skills?

Public school “professionals” have been on a cutting edge mission to replace the American culture with an elitist concept of global humanism. It’s called cultural cleansing and it has been targeted at at American children and families for the past fifty years.

Parents with common sense morals and a culture condusive to constitutional freedom and independence were told to sit down and shut up a long time ago while humanists went about dictating race doctrines of tribalist socialism (anti-western, anti-American citizen of the world multiculturalism) and globalism’s value system of amorality/materialism. Mindless vandalism fueled by illusions of superiority and a diversity of racism, is never pretty in the aftermath.

Bloomers is humanism’s poster boy. Public schools are too far gone and twisted to even be reformed. We need a decentralized system of independent schools where at least some American children and families (and some teachers) can try to pick themselves up from liberalism’s ruins.

Notice how many of them call themselves “Educators” rather than “Teachers” now?

Can’t find one here in Maryland public schools that call themselves a teacher anymore - That’s why my kid is in private school
