Sussman is also a fill-in for Mark Levin, where I think he tries too hard.
Unfortunately, Sussman is largely responsible for turning the KSFO Morning Show from an issue-oriented interview program to a "morning zoo" format based on callers. Rodgers had a strong stable of regular weekly interviews. Sussman has "ticked off Tuesday" and "whistle-blower Wednesday." He frequently descends into scatological humor about passing gas, as well as sexist "he-man" humor about man caves and power tools (stolen from Tim Allen?).
I'm not a fan anymore, but it's the only thing local in the morning.

I absolutely hate that format, and will not listen to it. The early morning show on WBAP is the same format, except they do touch on important subjects of the day, here and there. When they do, they usually wind up making a joke of it all, so they're pretty useless except for traffic and weather.
Rodgers prepared for his every show starting at something lke midnight, straight through the night, and by the time he did his interviews it REALLY showed —he knew the material inside out, makng for a GREAT exchange.
Now Sussman has BEER POURING sound effects —cheesy to the max and doesn’t Sussman KNOW few drink beer at 7 am...? It’s plain silly.
Now I listen to KSCO in Santa Cruz, not as bad.
