Thanks for the input. I've cleared out part of the herb garden and I'll repot it into a 6", and overwinter it there. I can keep that space sorta warmish (not frozen solid).

I'm in 8a, nominally, but my microclimate on the north of the property can get much colder than the rest of the property.

Well, you are generally warmer than we are then. We have very little luck with anything on the northern part of our property.

Just the trees that were here when we bought it. That’s the only thing that ever survives.
