Prepper PING!
Gez thanks.guess I dont need to go now
I read this whole thing, and now the movie is spoiled for me. Why didn’t you warn us in the title?
No Powers Boothe?
:(
Blame the keyboard for the typo...
The Cold War is over. So is the era of unapologetic alpha male action movies. Don't tell the folks behind "Red Dawn."
The film, a remake of the 1984 cult hit, sticks closely to the original formula of courageous kids, evil invaders and, of course, the battle cry which echoed throughout the decade.
"Woooolverines!"
Does it matter that the invading force this time around hails from North Korea and not the Soviet Union? Well, yeah. There's plenty in the new "Dawn" that doesn't hold up to scrutiny. Where "Red Dawn" rules is in its bone simple scenario. America is invaded. Time to fight for our liberty. Again.
‘One of the youths in the audience at the sight of Dear Leader squealed out, “Obamaaaaa!!”’
Chris Matthews was at your movie theater getting another tingle up his leg???
this time were invaded from with in
His shoe is probably still stuck to the theater floor. Yuk.
I occasionally bleat out “obama” when a picture off dear leader is shown....
But I emphasize the “BA” in Obama, so it sounds like a sheep bleating out of sarcasm...
O-Baaaaaaa-ma.....
Just to poud it into all of those within earshot that I am mocking Obama worship.
How can cell phones be used as a detonator if the grid is fried??
“Jericho” was better, and more likely.
I saw the original Red Dawn on Martha’s Vinyard in 1984. I clapped while the rest of the audience left in sullen silence. =) Good times.
Wolverines how apt as the film was filmed in Michigan. ( I saw the original movie and if I remember right they too called themselves wolverines) - because they hide undergound and strike and move hide undergorund and strike again. Michigan taxpayers contributed 14 million dollars on this film.
ROFLMAO!!!! I’m gonna try that next time! ;)
Unless Korea wins we already know the ending.
This movie did NOT need to be made. There are only 2 reasons to remake a movie:
1) The original was a good idea badly made
2) Hollywood has no new ideas
The original was a good idea very well made. That leaves...?
Ohe thing mentioned in the is that most of the red states were not overtaken and still USA.
The Mouse That Roared was more likely.
i believe in the original they called themselves the wolverines because that was the name of their football team. they were kids after all.
