Word For The Day, Monday, 11/19/12
In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
ludic; adj
layful in an aimless way: the ludic behavior of kittens.
Etymology: 193540; < Latin lūd- (stem of lūdere to play) + -ic, perhaps via French ludique, learned formation from same components
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.
The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)
Practice makes perfect.....post on....
Here is my example with WFTD.
Everything is ludic until someone puts their eye out. But then sometimes ones husband takes one back, apparently.

No pushing at the door please!
took me two hours to get into work this AM because of some accident right after the 14th street bridge, so i am not feeling too #@$%% ludic : )
Look! Pastor Charles Henrickson once more got ludic with DUmmies!
"....just as soon as.......?????....maybe I won't.....well....so?
I’m not feeling very ludic this AM.. I have another dental appointment. Hopefully this AM is just taking impressions for a crown. BUT, they may start work buidling the core for a different crown. Not ludic at all.
Sounds ludicrous.
where? on dummies funnies? you need to post the link! A+++
just awful for you. Hope your mouth is healed in time for turkey! A+++
i seriously was worried i would pee my pants considering i had consumed a cup of coffee during the trip.
That’s why you should always keep an empty pop bottle in your car. ;-)
I feel sorry for him and their children. Bad enough that it happened, but the whole world is watching. It has to be awful for him.
LMAO You betcha. One husband and I think two children.
Oh, it will be healed. I have only ONE dental appointment this week (I’ve been averaging 2 per week for a month). And we are going to the Fox & Hounds for T’Giving with friends. My friend just had eye surgery so neither of us wants to cook. Fox & Hounds is a famous restaurant on Holy Hill that dates back to the mid 1800s. We shall be well fed.

My morning escape is taking Linda-the-Dog to the “Dog Park” for some ludic play with her own species.
Actually there’s not a very recent one; looks like he’s taken a breather. But Pastor Charles is very famous on FR for his ludic remarks at DUmmy pontificators.
my aim is not true.
i recall seeing something in the last week or two, some letter to a dear abby kind of thing, that people were speculating was from him? did you see it on twitter?
Ludic was invented by someone with dyslexia trying to write lucid, which I think was his kids names, Lew and Sid. It's possible...a little bit.
The ludic Luddite lead lions larking.....
