Yep...The Scotland Yard. Back in my college days, I'd frequently drive down to DC to spend a Saturday at the Smithsonian. Bacause I had some retired military relatives in Alexandria, I'd park at Huntington Station and take the metro into DC. On my way back in the evenings, I'd get off at King St. I tried a number of the King St. restaurants, but after a few, settled on the Scotland Yard as "mine".

Typically, I'd have the steamed asparagus, spiral wrapped in smoked salmon and drizzled with hollondaise. For the entree, I'd go for the Royal Stuart Quail with the blackberry bramble mist for dessert :-)

Never ate much in there. Couldn’t afford it. I was a lowly-paid spook over at NRL and the Old Town apartment ate up most of what I had. Saved the rest for “liquid” type lunches and dinners. My favorite two hang outs were Murphy’s and the Piano Bar down nearer the river. Ah, to be young and single and 32 again!
