Not sure what they mean by beans and rice mentality but that is two of the things I have just begun to stockpile, along with sugar, salt, spam and a lot of spices. I'll be addressing that in my Poverty Cooking series chapter 2 that will be posted on the Friday Prepper thread. I was working on that today. ;)
