Glenn has limits. As for my freedom has no limits, all solutions are on the table.

Texas is too good for him.

Yeah, King George slapped his thigh and cackled with glee when they told him the colonists wanted to secede.

My bad. Poorly constructed sentence.

secession is ridiculous

People should be protesting the election and demanding Obama resign. That would do much more to save freedom then these petitions.

Not secession of the red states, but expulsion of the blue states.

For the same reason Canada is not part of the US, because they wanted to have a king, the blue states want Obama, so let them leave the US, and they can spend themselves into a black hole, and it will no longer be our problem to fix their defectiveness and lack of self control.

Just put up a passport regime at the state borders, and limit immigration after a certain date.

Thank you for your opinion Glenn. I'll file it in the appropriate basket.

Of course it is. How is the new country going to deal with all their people that are currently on federal welfare, health and aid programs?

It is ridiculous. It’s a distraction from the hard work of articulating and selling the benefits of conservatism, and holding our elected officials’ feet to the fire.

Stay focused.

Another gem from the Dallas King George III-"Secession means Civil War"

Really, and the socialists would fight to keep Texas in the Union? Right. I think they would be relieved.

By tomorrow there will be a million signatures. Maybe Glenn's head will explode. Cool.

For those who were victims of the Pooklik Skrewel Kollective, the following is essential:
“Still, if you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than live as slaves.”

How about pieces of states break off and form new ones?

Would that be acceptable?

Signing a secession petition is ridiculous because is requires no effort or sacrifice whatsoever.

Nobody is going to take a petition seriously. If a million people start marching on state capitols and legislators start actually drafting legal-looking provisions for how this would happen, then... maybe.

But until then, people have to realize the magnitude of what this would mean in 21st century America. You have to actually be fed up enough to divorce yourself from the lifeline that has been crafted to Washington over the past 100+ years. This is not for the faint-of-heart... and it's because we're that squishy that we've gotten into this mess in the first place.

It would take millions that in each state to force such a thing happen. But we can't even get that many people off their posteriors to go vote out the menace... and that's the easy thing to do. So of course we deserve this government: we're too lazy for anything else that's actually accountable.

What do we have to lose with Secession? Obama? Reid and Pelosi? The MSM? Washington DC? Works for me!

I do see some potential problems: Say Texas secedes. Millions of people who like the idea of no state income tax, right to work, tort reform, part time legislature, pro-business attitude, drill baby drill, etc. would move there right away overcrowding the state. There would be a HUGE stampede to the Lone Star state.

Glenn may be here in Texas but he ain't no Texican by a long shot. After all he did choose deep, deep red Dallas (run by the John Wiley Price crowd) as his Texas home. He also insulates himself from getting to know any real texicans sticking with the elitist jet setting crowd and hardly being here at all. He needs to cut himself loose from his entourage and go out into the rural areas and meet people without telling them who he is, then he might have a chance of becoming a Texican.

Every American should have the right to vote for their state to have independence from this evil communist regime. I'm not talking about civil war but a VOTE for independence.

Scotland is doing it . The Scottish people will vote for independence from Britain in 2014. Georgia and other soviet Republics voted for independence from the soviet union etc.

How can they deny us the right to vote for our independence and freedom?

Why is Beck against this? My thoughts is Beck is all about making money and who knows what he really believes . He might be a democrat for all we know.

Beck sees any breakup as interfering with his making money as no doubt a breakup would result in hostilities and perhaps the end of his shows. It is about money to him.

Companies in those states will no longer have to send deduction from paychecks to Washington.

They no longer have to send highway funds to Washington and wait for refunds.

They will no longer be under the thumb of the centralized government to restrict drilling.

They no longer be under centralized government interference in education.

Taxpayers won’t be sending tax dollars to the centralized government, the stay in the states.

Gas taxes will stay in states.

I’m probably not covering all the options but the principle is...STARVING THE BEAST.
