“She has stopped paying income tax and the IRS is putting liens on anything she owns.”

Yes, and that is what will happen to others who follow this “plan”.

Not to mention is goes against the teachings of Christ.

Mark 12 : 13 - 17
13 Later they sent some of the Pharisees and Herodians to Jesus to catch him in his words.
14 They came to him and said, “Teacher, we know you are a man of integrity. You aren’t swayed by men, because you pay no attention to who they are; but you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. Is it right to pay taxes to Caesar or not?
15 Should we pay or shouldn’t we?”
But Jesus knew their hypocrisy. “Why are you trying to trap me?” he asked. “Bring me a denarius and let me look at it.”
16 They brought the coin, and he asked them, “Whose portrait is this? And whose inscription?”
“Caesar’s,” they replied.
17 Then Jesus said to them, “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s.”
And they were amazed at him

Ah, but there's something to be done there: the liens are contestable in court, as are tax evasion charges. Both are put in place by the same entity (IRS) and from the same action. But what's most interesting is the powers by which the IRS claims this authority: you see the USSC has declared that only criminal law is prohibited by the Constitution's prohibition on Ex Post Facto law, and the Congress has modified the tax-code in an Ex Post Facto manner, meaning that tax law cannot be criminal, therefore any claim of criminal transgression is under the color of law (which is a felony).

Ann’s gone off the deep end, too bad. She will end up in jail along with all the other tax rebels. And someone who says they are a financial advisor should know that changing withholding to delay by 3 months or a year means little to a govt. that will just print more.

Still there are ways to direct anger at the justly deserving IRS. Don’t file your return by electronic or even computer printed forms. Fill in the forms you submit by hand, and worry only about accuracy. In fact, be sure to go out of the lines and make stray marks, weird pens, etc. Make them process it by hand in return. They will be bogged down forever if enough did this.

And there’s no reason to stop with that. Leave off some minor deductions. Then a bit later submit an ameded return to get the remaining $10 back. In the same handwritten way.
