My husband and I sat at the table night before the election.
My husband turns 65 in May. He hasn't had a full time job in four years but he does what it takes to help keep us going. I told him if Romney won we would hold out on Social Security and if Obama won, he could go sign up.
He's going to go sign up next week.
He also signs up for medicare.
It's not as much money than if he had waited but we agreed we'd invest it in something.
I am and HCR mail carrier and the contract is up in March. The post office is looking to take my route, that pays half of what a union carrier makes, and give it to a displaced (union member) carrier and pay them twice as much.
I may also be out of a job.
I am 59 and it will also be hard for me to get another job.
I am worried.
I am mad. I am mad at my fellow human being that shoves it in my face everyday that they have their entitlements and government giveaways and we never asked for a thing. It shames me to feel this way but I can't help it. I have Obama derangement syndrome.
I didn't care for Romney but I thought maybe with him as president, we would have a little more time to find someone to present as a good candidate. That didn't happen. My husband and I don't have many more years left in this world but there is something the government can't take. It is my pride. They won't break me I am more determined than ever to talk to the lefties all around me and explain to them the error of their ways.

Infuriating.....A welfare "family" receives anywhere from $40 - $60,000 per year in benefits.

There are taxpayers who don't even make that much who have to cut back on their own families budget to get by, because the freeloaders get their "entitlements" first, before the tax payer even gets to see what's left of his meager pay check after the politicians rob him

Even worse, most of these freeloaders have never worked a day in their life. Oboma worked one day. He said he didn't like it.

I’m pretty much finished, too. I don’t have a pension of any sort, but through wise investments, I should be OK. I’ll be selling things I no longer need and collecting tin cans; I don’t care, LOL!

I’m going underground as much as possible. Government corruption and the greed of our politicians has sunk us all. God Help Us.

Your husband will probably NEVER have a full time job again. That is a given. Accept it. I did.

With SS you are bleeding the system which will shut it down that much quicker. Four years from now you will be grateful you did.

Take full advantage of medicare asap. Anything you can think of, take full advantage of NOW.

It is not the money that is at issue right now it it FREEDOM.

The Post Office is shutting down out of necessity so bail out ASAP. Or you can stay and just get laid off and then what do you get. A few months of unemployment?

At 59 you will never get another good paying job so take what you can get NOW,,,,,,,,,,

Romney is not the answer. Freedom is the answer. Osama Obama is not the answer. The Constitution is the answer.

It isn’t how long you have left in this world, but what you do with it. Make it better for your children and posterity.

Pride always goes before a fall. Sounds like you are going to take that fall. Do it with dignity and with hope that you are in time to benefit.
