For quite a while I have been considering going Galt. This election is a tipping point for me. I live on PA and things are not getting better. But living in PA isn't the entire problem. There has been a progressive assault on freedom and liberty in our nation for decades.
Are there others considering going Galt or off the grid?
Unless you mean actually fight (as in swords and guns) there is no point.
Yes. My family and I are going Galt. Purchasing only necessary day to day living items. Other than that no purchases. We are not exchanging Christmas gifts. Dinner with family, church. I will not give this economy one iota of an uptick so this douchebag in the WH can claim a better 4th quarter.
I am done. We also sold our home in Florida and moved to Tennessee. Love it here. Red state.

Starting my fourth year. Was going to reenter but not now. IMO, have the wisdom to realize when you’re in a hole and it’s time to stop digging.
I will demonstrate, march and do whatever I have to do for my country. I am part of the tea party, 912 project etc., but I am going Galt. I WILL STARVE THIS BEAST. They want HANDOUTS, they’re not getting it from me.

There is the unlimited printing of money to contend with. But that can’t last forever... Eventually, we’ll probably be forced into some kind of slave labor. But that’s only twice as bad as what we have now and they would then have to feed, house and transport us... ;)
Family (cohesive) philosophy faith-freedom (studied discussed), shelter (secondaries available) food (storing) protection (practiced) fuels (alternatives available) work (productive) health (practiced) spending (stopped funding anything socialist & most unnecessary) optimism (very high for this collective) enjoyment of life (every minute)

Sure, we can bitch & moan and pontificate endlessly about why Romney lost or Obama won or why so many Americans are stupid. We can tear our sleeves, mourn, and even lay down.
Or we can fight. We can stand, not for a candidate, but for ourselves. We can tell both parties, and those other nefarious groups (unions/acorn/media/etc) that we are NOT going to roll over.
I plan on starting a thing called I-CAN (Indiana Conservative Action Network). We will (hopefully) be able to hold CIVICS classes in the local library - Constitution, History, Social/Governmental Theory w/some solid conservative principles.
I am hoping to start a grassroots campaign (on the local level and eventually the state level) to return integrity to the election process. Actual prosecution of voter fraud, tighter controls, etc...

Granted, Philadelphia, Scranton and Pittsburgh aren’t places to be in or even near, but PA is a large state with a “conservative middle”, and there are plenty of “Galt’s Gulches” to be found there, where one can hide right in plain sight. Just came back from one on election day.
I still have faith in the lawsuits filed on religious grounds and that God know’s the way to defeat this evil.

The ironic thing is that Obama has been President for 4 years now. The man ain’t exactly shown that he is shot in the ass with initiative. If he was going to build concentration camps, I think we would see some construction by now.
4 more years of golf and NBA games is going to be about it.
